I CAN’T LOSE WEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started this blog in February. Ryan is getting married in September. That gave me EIGHT MONTHS to get back to my previously normal size. I was doing ok. I was loving the swimming. I was eating properly and carefully. And then…The Accident.

Four months down the drain weight loss wise. No exercise, except for Physical Therapy, which should count for something because it is such freaking hard work!!

But noooooooo, not for me. It doesn’t matter if I eat carefully and use up what should be about a million calories in pain alone. Uh-uh. Nope. For some reason, the normal weight loss gene has entirely skipped me and I will be fat forever!!!!!!!

And Multiple-freaking-Sclerosis?!?! What good is it being sick if I stay fat?!?! If I had to get a crappy disease, why couldn’t it be one that made me thin?!?!

I am cleared to start swimming again in a few days. I will be in the pool as much as possible. I’ll do the treadmill too. Just like I was doing before my fall.

Something’s got to give!!!!

I feel your pain. You'd think struggling with a disease would be enough exercise.

Ain't that the truth!! There is no justice in this world.

But I'm going to keep trying.

I'm like Scarlett O'Hara: tomorrow is another day.

lol

yeah, that's really unfair!
Are you follwing a particular diet plan?
i put on four stone a few years back when i was on medication, and have only managed to lose two of it.
Ever since i have never been able to lose more than 12 pounds before putting weight on again - Ive been trying for four years!SOOO frustrating.
But back in May someone told me about the Rosemary Conley GI Jeans diet - and Ive managed to lose a stone so far!
The big difference is that i'm not allowed anything over 5% fat content.
I'm probably eating more than I was when trying really hard to lose weight, and I'm not exercising any more than i was, but the weight is coming off steadily.
Dont know if you have heard of Rosemary at all?
This is a low fat, low GI low cal. She has a "kick start" section that guarantees a 7lbs loss in two weeks, and it did work for my both my friend and i - then you can get a bit more lenient and lose weight more steadily.
She also allows you a certain amount of treats - so important to keep going!
if you need any info on it, give me a shout - it has made such a difference to me, and it hasnt felt like hard work either - and ive done enough dieting over the years to know!
Much sympathy anyhoo!

Thanks for the tips Helen!! I think the key for me is exercise, so I am going to hit the gym and hope for the best.

Thanks for the encouragement!!!

Fat chicks rule. First of all.

Second of all, your weight/size/height/eye color/skin color/hair color/nose color says nothing about you, intrinsically. Nothing about who you are. And who you are is amazing.

You're a beautiful and remarkable woman, regardless of how your body changes - smaller, bigger, healthier, less so, whatever. You rock.

Wise words Kate - and I can apply them to anyone but myself.

I want this to be a site where everyone feels beautiful and relaxed and can laugh. That is why I have that statement at the beginning "You are fabulous".

I just don't ever think I'm fabulous. And to be honest, I didn't think I was so hot when I was a size ten either. :(

But thanks for your thoughtfulness. :) You are such a sweetheart!
